Jeffery L. Boyd
Pastor J.L. Boyd is a native of Newton, Al. He is the first of three beautiful children to be born.
He was raised in Newton, AL and was taught under the Missionary Baptist Church Doctrine. He
holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Troy State University, Troy, AL and
is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Social Fraternity. He is the treasurer for the Pinckard
District New Era District Association Minister’s and Deacons Union and faithfully served as
Treasurer for the New Era #2 District Association for eight years.
He was joined in holy matrimony in 1993 to his beautiful wife Annie, and they have three
beautiful children Christopher, Amber, and Emilee. He has been employed with Southern
Nuclear Operating over the past twenty nine years and is the Access Authorization Supervisor.
Pastor Boyd while being very active in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church was a choir member,
Junior Deacon and later on in January 17, 1999 accepted his calling into the ministry from God,
and was license to preach on February 28, 1999, and ordained on April 30, 2000 where he serves
as the Pastor.
Pastor Boyd says there are three important aspects in his life: Christ, because he’s the head of the
church and the savior of the body, Family, because I’m their head even as Christ is my head, and
serving others, because before one can completely understand what it is to be served. One must
understand what it is to be a servant.
